RIWEN Ventures

We are an impact investing organization with a mission to align immigrant women with their Life’s Purpose through Entrepreneurship. We support these women through integrative leadership coaching and empathetic financing mechanisms.

Groundswell Explore Program

January 18 - February 13, 2019

This one month, part time intensive Program will help you uncover your confidence to pursue entrepreneurship or self-employment. This program is delivered by our partner Groundswell Community.

Scholarships for immigrant women are available. Apply by December 31, 2018.

Regular weekly schedule: January 21 - February 13
Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30 - 8:30  pm



Groundswell Build Program

February 25 - June 19, 2019

This five-month program will give you skills to build a socially and environmentally conscious business. Each week you will learn and apply a business tool to your own idea, building your business in real time, over the course of the program. Our unique, peer-based funding model will give you access to startup funds for your pilot.

This program is delivered by our partner Groundswell Community.

Scholarships and financing options are available. Apply by December 31, 2018.

BUILD Program

Our Build Program, in partnership with Groundswell Community, is an intensive hands-on program to get you from an idea to launching your business. 

This program uses community-based venture-creation methodology and applied financing mechanisms for newcomer women to guide new entrepreneurs towards success.


develop Your business

Get the support you need to go from idea to launch. 

You will participate in weekly workshops to help you define your business model, embark on customer discovery, and building the first pilot offering of your product or service.

Work with your Mentors

Get trusted advice from experienced mentors who will work on your individual needs and provide valuable perspective in the early stages of your business.

You will also have access to a network of experienced advisors in financial modelling, accounting, law, and marketing.

Get Seed Funding

Get early-stage funding from Helder Ventures to finance your business. 

You will also learn about other available funding options, refine your pitch, and become ready to meet other investors and financial institutions. 


Get Support from a peer Network

Participate in peer pod support groups, learning from and teaching each other as you embark on the entrepreneurship journey.
